Aspire People are delighted to be working in partnership with a highly successful secondary school in Central Manchester to recruit two Learning Support Assistants for long-term, full-time positions starting in September 2026.

We have built an excellent relationship with this multi-academy trust over a number of years and have consistently supplied high-quality candidates across a range of teaching and support staff roles. Due to continued growth and the school's commitment to providing exceptional support for all learners, they are now looking to appoint two enthusiastic graduates to join their dedicated support team.

This opportunity is ideal for graduates considering a career in education, including aspiring teachers or educational psychologists, who are passionate about helping young people achieve their full potential.

The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SEND team to support students who require additional help accessing the curriculum. You will provide both one-to-one and small group support, helping students build confidence, develop independence, and make excellent academic progress.

You will support a diverse cohort of students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and pupils who speak English as an Additional Language (EAL). The school prides itself on its inclusive ethos, with students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and many different languages spoken across the school community.

We are looking for graduates who have:
* A UK degree in Psychology, Educational Psychology, English, Mathematics, Science, or a related subject.
* A strong academic background.
* Previous experience working with children or young people through tutoring, university placements, schools, youth work, mentoring, coaching, or similar settings.
* A genuine passion for education and supporting students to succeed.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* A proactive, patient, and resilient approach to supporting learning.

Requirements
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
* References covering the last two years.
