Learning Support Assistant

Job Title: Primary LSA
Location: Newham
Start Date: September
Salary: £95-£105 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a two-form entry primary school in Newham with a strong school community, supportive parents and governors, and fantastically behaved and motivated children. The school has a caring and professional staff team and is well-resourced both indoors and outdoors, offering a countryside feel in the heart of the city.

The school is looking to appoint a Primary LSA on a long-term basis from September, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1. The successful Primary LSA will provide general classroom support, work one-to-one with pupils and support children with additional needs while helping to maintain a positive learning environment.

The successful Primary LSA will have:

• Experience supporting children within a primary school setting
• Experience working with pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1
• Experience providing one-to-one support or supporting pupils with additional needs
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A flexible and adaptable approach
• A caring, patient and committed attitude
