Think FE is recruiting for a range of Learning Support and Specialist Support positions at a well-established further education college based in Moulton, Northamptonshire.

We are currently recruiting for the following positions:
Specialist SEMH Support
37 hours per week
£30,536 per annum
You will provide targeted support to learners with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them engage positively with their education and develop the skills and confidence needed to progress.
The role would suit someone with experience supporting young people or adults with SEMH needs who can build positive relationships while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
Support Assistant – Personal Care
24 hours per week
£26,089 per annum, pro rata
This position will involve supporting students with additional needs to participate fully in college life and their learning programmes.
Alongside educational and pastoral support, the role includes providing personal care where required, so applicants should be comfortable delivering this support in a professional, respectful and dignified manner.
Learning Support Assistants
Full-time positions
0.6 part-time positions
£26,089 per annum, pro rata where applicable
Learning Support Assistants will work alongside teaching and support teams to help students access their learning, develop confidence and become increasingly independent.
Day-to-day responsibilities may include providing one-to-one or small-group support, adapting approaches to individual learner needs, encouraging engagement and helping students make positive progress throughout their programme.
These opportunities could suit experienced Learning Support Assistants as well as candidates with transferable experience from education, care, youth work, SEND or other supportive environments.
Higher Level Teaching Assistant
£29,602 – £32,423 per annum
The HLTA will take a more advanced role in supporting teaching, learning and student development. You will work closely with curriculum and support teams and may lead learning activities, provide targeted interventions and support students with more complex educational needs.
We are looking for someone confident in supporting learners independently while working collaboratively with teaching and support colleagues.
What we're looking for
We would particularly like to hear from candidates who are patient, reliable and genuinely motivated by helping young people and adults succeed.
Previous experience within further education, SEND, learning support, care, schools or a similar environment would be beneficial. Most importantly, you should be able to build positive professional relationships with learners and adapt your approach to meet different support needs.
All successful applicants will be required to meet the appropriate safeguarding and compliance requirements for working within further education.
