Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Worker to join a welcoming school in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to begin or develop a career within education, with no formal qualifications required.

The Role

As a Learning Support Worker, you will play an important role in supporting pupils both academically and socially. Working alongside teachers and school staff, you will help students access learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
  • Encouraging engagement and participation in lessons
  • Assisting with classroom activities and learning resources
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Supporting students with additional learning needs where required
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people
  • Are patient, caring, and adaptable
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Can work effectively as part of a team
  • Have experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults (desirable but not essential)
  • Are interested in pursuing a career in education

Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Two professional references
  • Successful completion of Teaching Personnel's vetting process
