A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Leasehold Support Officer to join one of Adecco's leading public sector housing clients in a temporary assignment, initially for three months.

Reporting into the Head of Managing Agents and Owned Tenures, our client is based in Dartford in Kent and this role is hybrid working (2-3 days each week in the office). The role is full time, 35 hours each week (Monday to Friday), and our client is seeking an experienced Leasehold Support Officer to provide specialist support across leasehold and managing agent services. The role will focus on reviewing leases, determining responsibilities, maintaining accurate records and supporting the resolution of complex leasehold and managing agent issues.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Reviewing and interpreting lease documents, transfer deeds and property management agreements.
  • Carrying out responsibility checks to determine landlord, leaseholder and managing agent obligations.
  • Maintaining and updating leasehold, ownership and responsibility information on internal systems.
  • Identifying and resolving data discrepancies and escalating issues where required.
  • Supporting complex leasehold and managing agent casework by gathering, reviewing and analysing information.
  • Preparing summaries of lease responsibilities, property arrangements and key issues.
  • Liaising with internal teams, managing agents, leaseholders and external stakeholders.
  • Maintaining accurate records, case notes and audit trails.
  • Supporting investigations into managing agent performance and disputed responsibilities.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in a leasehold, property management, housing or managing agent environment.
  • Good understanding of residential leases and leasehold management.
  • Ability to interpret lease clauses and determine responsibility for repairs, maintenance, insurance and service charge matters.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate records and data.
  • Excellent investigation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident communicating with a range of stakeholders, including managing agents and leaseholders.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

Desirable

  • Experience within a housing association, local authority or managing agent environment.
  • Knowledge of service charges, major works and managing agent arrangements.
  • Experience using housing or property management systems.
