Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (occasional evenings and weekends required)

An established education and training provider is seeking an experienced Electrical Lecturer to deliver engaging, industry-focused teaching to learners across a range of electrical installation programmes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician looking to move into education, or for an existing lecturer wanting to join a supportive and forward-thinking organisation.
The successful candidate will help develop the next generation of skilled professionals by delivering high-quality teaching, assessing learner progress, and supporting students throughout their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver classroom, workshop and practical electrical training to full-time, part-time and adult learners.
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that meet awarding body and curriculum requirements.
- Assess learner work, provide constructive feedback and monitor progress towards qualifications.
- Act as a personal tutor, supporting learner attendance, wellbeing and academic achievement.
- Maintain accurate learner records, assessment documentation and course administration.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of electrical programmes to meet current industry standards.
- Support learner recruitment through open events, employer engagement and promotional activities.
- Participate in quality assurance activities including internal verification, standardisation and course reviews.
- Ensure workshop facilities, equipment and learning resources are maintained to a high standard.
- Promote a safe learning environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Champion safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of teaching and learner support.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an outstanding learner experience.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to the role as required.

Essential:
- Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or a related discipline.
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
- Recent industry experience within the electrical or construction sector.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire learners with varying abilities.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload effectively.
- Commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusive learning.
- Willingness to work towards a recognised teaching qualification if not already held.
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training or equivalent).
- Assessor and/or Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification.
- Experience teaching within Further or Higher Education.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Experience designing or developing vocational curriculum.
