Think FE are working with a well-regarded college in Northamptonshire that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Animal Management Lecturer on a 0.8 maternity cover contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established Animal Management department and play a key role in ensuring the continued delivery of outstanding teaching, learning and assessment across both Further Education and Higher Education programmes.
The role
As an Animal Management Lecturer, you will plan and deliver engaging, high-quality teaching that helps students develop both their academic knowledge and practical understanding of the animal sector.
You will support learners throughout their studies, monitor progress and contribute to the continued success of the department.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering Animal Management programmes across FE and HE levels
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons for a diverse range of learners
- Assessing student work and providing clear, constructive feedback
- Monitoring learner progress and supporting students to achieve their full potential
- Maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and assessment
- Contributing to curriculum development and the wider Animal Management department
- Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
- A BSc in Animal Science, Animal Management or a closely related subject
- Strong subject knowledge within animal management and/or animal science
- The ability to engage and support learners across FE and HE programmes
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A genuine commitment to high-quality teaching and learner success
Previous experience teaching within further or higher education would also be advantageous.
Salary and benefits
The salary for this 0.8 position is £36,217 – £43,197 per annum (after pro rata £28,973.60 – £34,557.60 per annum).
