Salary: £33,596 - £51,932 per annum (dependent on skills and qualifications)

About the Role

Coleg Cambria is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable lecturer to deliver both practical and classroom‑based learning within Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. You will contribute to the development of delivery materials, assessments, and innovative teaching approaches that inspire learners and support their progression.

We welcome applications from industry professionals as well as experienced lecturers who are keen to inspire and support students across a range of engineering disciplines including mechanical systems, turning, milling, bench fitting, manufacturing techniques, project management, mathematics, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and high‑quality teaching across Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering FE and HE programmes
  • Develop course content, assessments, and learning materials
  • Support learners with a range of needs, demonstrating empathy, patience, and resilience
  • Manage groups effectively and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement within the department
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the college
  • Adapt flexibly to the varied demands of the role and undertake training where required

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified to a minimum of Level 5 (or equivalent) in a relevant Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering discipline
  • A Level 5 teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE) or willingness to work towards one
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self‑motivated, well‑organised, and able to work independently using initiative
  • Awareness of quality standards within teaching and learning

Desirable Requirements

  • Welsh language skills
  • Experience supporting students with SEND
  • Experience managing challenging behaviours in a classroom setting
