Salt College is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Plumbing Lecturer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire learners, share your industry expertise, and help students achieve recognised qualifications in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

The Role

As a Plumbing Lecturer, you will:

  • Deliver engaging practical and theory-based Plumbing lessons up to Level 3.
  • Teach apprentices, adult learners and school leavers aged 16+.
  • Support learners with a wide range of abilities, including those with SEND and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Use your industry experience to prepare learners for successful careers in the construction sector.
  • Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that builds confidence, skills and independence.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A recognised Plumbing qualification.
  • Significant industry experience within the plumbing trade.
  • Experience teaching or assessing Plumbing qualifications (Level 2 and above).
  • Experience supporting learners with SEND, including Autism, ADHD and other additional needs.
  • A genuine passion for education and developing future talent.

Desirable

  • Qualified Lecturer status (DET, DTLLS or QTLS).
  • Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA or equivalent).
  • Previous experience teaching within a Further Education college.

Preferred Experience

  • Further Education teaching: 3 years
  • Training and assessing learners with SEND: 3 years
  • Teaching Plumbing qualifications: 1 year
