We are seeking skilled trade professionals and vocational educators for a range of permanent Lecturer and Technician positions at a well-established college in Cambridge. Opportunities are available across Plumbing, Electrical, Construction and other trade disciplines. Full-time, Monday to Friday (08:30-17:30). Applicants must have a valid Right to Work in the UK and ideally hold a clean Enhanced DBS. Industry professionals looking to transition into education are welcome to apply.

Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:30am - 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons to students.
  • Support learners in developing industry-relevant skills.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Assist with workshop management and equipment maintenance (Technician roles).
  • Promote high standards of teaching, learning and student achievement.
Requirements
  • Industry experience within your specialist trade.
  • Relevant vocational qualifications.
  • Previous teaching or training experience would be advantageous, although industry professionals looking to move into education are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
Essential Criteria
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK.
  • Clear/Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Reliable, professional and passionate about developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
