Our Client, a reputable firm operating within the legal industry, is seeking a dedicated Legal Administrator to play a vital role in their residential property team. As a Legal Administrator, you'll be instrumental in ensuring smooth operational workflows, assisting with client onboarding, document management, and maintaining regulatory compliance. Your organisational skills and attention to detail will directly support the effective handling of property transactions, helping to deliver a seamless experience for clients and colleagues alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the residential team with opening files and onboarding clients
  • Managing copying, scanning, and uploading documents to the case management system
  • Supporting compliance and regulatory standards within the team
  • Capturing correspondence and updating case files accordingly
  • Liaising with estate agents and other solicitors to ensure smooth communication
  • Keeping clients informed about the progress of their matters
Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a legal administration or conveyancing support role from start to finish
  • Familiarity with property transaction processes, including post-completion work such as stamp duty and dealing with HM Land Registry (HMLR)
  • Strong organisation and administrative abilities
  • Knowledge of case management systems, ideally LEAP or similar platforms
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team in an office environment
Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Prior experience assisting at a solicitor’s firm or legal practice
  • Additional knowledge of regulatory compliance and legal documentation processes
Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Relevant legal or administrative qualification highly advantageous but not essential
  • Proven track record in conveyancing or property law
Additional Requirements:

  • Reliable and punctual, with the ability to adapt to evolving priorities
  • This role is based in our client's Histon office, with occasional assistance at the central Cambridge office. Standard office hours are 9am to 5.15pm from Monday to Thursday, and 9am to 5pm on Friday, with a one-hour lunch break.
