Conveyancing Legal Secretary – Ashford
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join an award-winning law firm in Kent. This role is ideal for a motivated individual looking to take the next step in their legal support career.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the conveyancing department.
Key Responsibilities

Preparing correspondence through both audio and copy typing, including letters, legal forms (Oyez), and quotations.

Answering telephone calls professionally, courteously, and efficiently.

Carrying out general administrative duties, including photocopying and maintaining accurate client records.

Filing correspondence and ensuring client files are organised and kept up to date.

Scheduling appointments and liaising with clients in a professional manner.

Entering and updating information on the firm's case management system.

Working collaboratively with the wider secretarial team, providing support and telephone cover when required.

Handling all confidential information with the utmost discretion.
Requirements

Previous experience as a Conveyancing Legal Secretary is essential.

Excellent technical skills, including fast and accurate typing.

The ability to manage a busy workload independently, prioritise tasks, and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a confident, friendly, and professional manner both over the telephone and face-to-face.

Excellent attention to detail.

A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word is essential.
