A well-established social housing provider in Exeter is seeking an experienced Interim Lettings Officer to join their team on an initial 6-week contract, with the potential for extension.
Based in a central office with a flexible hybrid working pattern, you'll play a key role in delivering a high-quality lettings service across a diverse housing portfolio.

Responsibilities of the Lettings Officer:
  • Advertise available homes through Devon Home Choice
  • Shortlist applicants in line with lettings policies and allocation requirements
  • Arrange and carry out property viewings
  • Complete tenancy sign-ups, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant
  • Work closely with internal teams to coordinate appointments and shared resources
  • Provide essential support to maintain service delivery during permanent recruitment
  • Deliver a professional, customer-focused service throughout the lettings process
Salary & Benefits of this Lettings officer Role:
  • Initial 6-week contract with potential to extend
  • 35 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm)
  • Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, up to 2 days from home
  • Regular travel for viewings and tenancy sign-ups
  • Mileage paid when using your own vehicle
  • £22–£24 per hour
  • Opportunity to apply for the permanent position
About You
  • Experience as a Lettings Officer within social housing, a housing association, or registered provider
  • Previous use of Devon Home Choice (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of lettings, allocations, and tenancy sign-up processes
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
  • Able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision
  • Organised, customer-focused, and confident managing both administration and customer interactions
