Supply Desk is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Watford area from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children and helping them achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work alongside class teachers and the wider school team to provide valuable support across the classroom, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
You will play an important role in supporting pupils with their learning, development, and wellbeing, working with individuals and small groups as well as assisting with whole-class activities. The Role- Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and effective learning activities across the primary curriculum.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils, helping them to develop their knowledge, skills, and confidence.
- Assist pupils with their learning by reinforcing instructions, explaining activities, and providing encouragement where needed.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and supported.
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and personal development throughout the school day.
- Assist with classroom preparation, displays, resources, and general organisation.
- Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain high expectations for pupil engagement and achievement.
- Support pupils during classroom activities, outdoor learning, playtimes, lunchtimes, and other aspects of the school day.
- Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, teachers, parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Work collaboratively with the wider school team to support the progress and wellbeing of all pupils.
- Contribute to the wider school community through enrichment activities and school events.
- Uphold high standards of safeguarding, behaviour, and pupil wellbeing.
- Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Has experience working with children within a primary school or educational setting.
- Is passionate about supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
- Demonstrates a patient, caring, and nurturing approach when working with pupils.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is confident supporting individual pupils and small groups with their learning.
- Can work effectively alongside class teachers and the wider school team.
- Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Is reliable, adaptable, proactive, and able to respond positively to the individual needs of pupils.
- Is committed to promoting an inclusive learning environment where every child is valued and supported.
