We are recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming Early Years setting in Greenwich. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced childcare professional who enjoys working with babies and supporting young children during their earliest stages of learning and development.
The role will be based primarily within the Baby Room, with some additional support provided to the Rising 2s age group. Offering a four-day working week and 35 hours per week, this position would suit a qualified Early Years professional looking for a rewarding role with a more balanced working pattern.
You will be:
-
Providing high-quality care and education for babies and younger children in line with the EYFS
-
Supporting children's early learning, development and emotional wellbeing through nurturing, age-appropriate experiences
-
Creating a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment where babies feel secure and supported
-
Planning and delivering sensory, play-based activities that encourage exploration and development
-
Supporting children's individual routines, including feeding, sleeping and personal care
-
Encouraging early communication, physical development and social interaction
-
Acting as a key person and building strong, trusting relationships with children and their families
-
Completing observations and assessments to monitor children's progress and inform future planning
-
Providing occasional support within the Rising 2s age group when required
-
Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, hygiene, health and safety and professional practice
-
Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistently high standards of care
The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 Childcare or Early Years qualification and have previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting. Experience working with babies and children under two would be particularly beneficial.
You will have a strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and early childhood development, alongside a caring, patient and attentive approach to supporting younger children. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
