Role Summary

We are seeking a full-time Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner (40 hours per week) to join a warm, charity-led setting offering world-class care, education and outreach to its communities. You will work with children aged 9 months to 11 years, supporting high-quality early years and out-of-school provision within a kind, caring team.

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week
  • Term: Permanent
  • Hours: Flexible patterns available (full days, mornings with afternoon return, part-time, or job share) [Note: the role requires 40 hours per week]

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality planning and delivery of activities for children aged 9 months to 11 years
  • Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and ensure safeguarding best practice
  • Observe, assess and record child development, contributing to personalised learning plans
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment that supports holistic development
  • Foster positive partnerships with parents and carers; communicate effectively about children's progress
  • Manage routines, prepare stimulating play activities, and support inclusivity and wellbeing
  • Collaborate with a friendly, supportive team to maintain the nursery’s family-oriented culture
  • Assist with safeguarding, health and safety, and risk assessments
  • Support outreach and community engagement initiatives as part of the charity’s mission

Qualifications and Experience

  • Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification (essential)
  • Experience working with children 9 months to 11 years preferred
  • Knowledge of EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
  • First Aid training desirable or willingness to obtain

  • Calm, caring, patient, and reflective practitioner. Organised, with good time management and record-keeping
