- Use Read, Write, Inc. (RWI) to support KS2 pupils who are working below expected attainment in reading and phonics.
- Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation.
- Promote positive behaviour and contribute to an inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to ensure positive outcomes for all pupils.
The school
- Friendly and welcoming primary school in Tameside.
- Supportive leadership team and collaborative staff.
- Positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Well-resourced classrooms with a strong focus on pupil achievement and wellbeing.
The ideal candidate
To be considered for this role, applicants should:
- Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Have recent experience working within a KS2 classroom.
- Have strong knowledge and practical experience of Read, Write, Inc. (RWI), with the confidence to support KS2 pupils working below age-related expectations in reading and phonics.
- Have experience supporting whole-class teaching and learning rather than solely working in a 1:1 capacity.
- Demonstrate effective behaviour management skills.
- Be proactive, adaptable and able to work as part of a team.
- Have excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning.
What we offer
- Competitive daily rates of £92.56 - £110.00, depending on experience.
- Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement.
- Access to professional development opportunities.
- A rewarding full-time opportunity in a supportive primary school.
