This September, a welcoming primary school in Stockport is seeking a skilled Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their Year 3 classroom team. This role will suit someone who is passionate about supporting children as they progress through Key Stage 2, helping pupils build confidence, develop independence, and achieve their academic goals.

Working closely with the Year 3 class teacher, you will provide consistent support across the classroom, helping pupils engage with their learning and providing additional guidance where needed. You will play an important role in creating a positive and inclusive environment where children feel supported, motivated, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

The role will involve supporting a range of learning activities, delivering targeted interventions, and providing tailored support for pupils who may need additional help with their academic, social, or emotional development. The Role Will Include:

• Supporting the Year 3 teacher with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Working with pupils individually and in small groups to reinforce learning and improve progress.
• Delivering targeted interventions in areas such as reading, writing, and maths.
• Supporting pupils with additional needs by adapting activities and providing personalised guidance.
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours as pupils transition further into Key Stage 2.
• Helping monitor pupil progress and sharing feedback with the class teacher.
• Preparing resources and supporting the organisation of the classroom environment.
• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
• Supporting children during breaktimes, school activities, and educational visits.
• Promoting safeguarding, inclusion, and the wellbeing of all pupils.

The Successful Applicant Will Bring:

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience supporting children within a primary school setting.
• Experience working within Key Stage 2 is desirable.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND or additional learning needs is advantageous.
• A calm, patient, and encouraging approach to supporting children's development.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• The confidence to take initiative and provide effective classroom support.
