Salary: £93-£100 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream Primary School based in Newcastle, who are looking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant. The school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where children are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and love of learning.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from November 2026, supporting pupils across EYFS and KS1. The successful Level 3 Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities, provide small group and individual support, and help children develop their early literacy, numeracy and social skills.

The successful Level 3 Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent

• Experience supporting children within EYFS and KS1 in a primary school setting

• Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS framework and primary curriculum

• Experience delivering small group interventions and supporting children's individual learning needs

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

• A positive, patient and adaptable approach to supporting young learners
