Are You an accomplished and precise LGV Driver who is not easily flustered by day-to-day road obstacles, traffic conditions or inclement weather. With LGV 1 driving experience under your belt, you've developed an excellent understanding of how to transport goods safely, efficiently and professionally.

At Blue Arrow, we are looking for reliable and professional LGV Category C+E (Class 1) Drivers to work for our client based in Widnes.

This role involves completing 1 to 3 deliveries per shift, ensuring goods are delivered safely and on time while maintaining excellent levels of customer service.

Our client is looking for dependable LGV C+E Drivers to operate from their Widnes depot, covering a variety of delivery locations across the UK.

Working patterns available:

• Tuesday to Saturday
• Wednesday to Sunday

Start times between 19:00 and 03:00.

This role offers ongoing work with routine schedules and the opportunity to build your experience with a leading logistics operation.

As a LGV Category C+E Driver (also known as a Class 1 HGV Driver) you will be:

• Positive and open-minded with a wide range of people you'll meet while representing the company
• Comfortable building rapport with clients and customers
• Proactive and able to use your own initiative
• Diligent in ensuring driver and vehicle checks are completed correctly
• Sound organisational skills, particularly for route planning and delivery scheduling
• Self-motivated
• Comfortable working by yourself for much of the shift
• A calm, confident and patient driver
• A problem solver and level-headed; able to react appropriately to unexpected situations
• Highly focused with excellent concentration skills
• Flexible in your approach to work and varying start times
• Approachable and able to work with managers, transport teams, customers and colleagues
• Highly professional in all situations whilst representing both Blue Arrow and our client

Main Duties/Responsibilities

As a LGV Category C+E Driver you will:

• Complete between 1 and 3 deliveries per shift
• Pre-loaded vehicles
• Transport goods from supplier to customer locations safely and efficiently
• Conduct daily vehicle checks before commencing your journey
• Check routes for safety restrictions, planned roadworks and traffic delays
• Complete all necessary paperwork and delivery documentation accurately
• Report any vehicle defects or issues promptly
• Comply with Driver Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive requirements
• Maintain excellent levels of customer service at all times

Qualifications/License's/Certifications/Experience

• Category C+E Driving License
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 3 month's LGV 1 (C+E) driving experience
• Good understanding of Driver's Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
