LGV Class 2 Driver – Home Deliveries | Southampton | £17.63–£26.45 per hour

Location: Southampton
Pay Rate: £18.25 per hour
Over time £27.37 per hour
Hours: Tuesday–Saturday (6am start)
Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm
Compliance: A valid DBS check is required for this role. - we can provide this prior to starting and deductions can be made from your first two pay-checks.

About the Role

We’re recruiting experienced LGV Class 2 Drivers for our client in Southampton, delivering home improvement products on behalf of one of the UK’s leading DIY retailers. Working as part of a two-person delivery crew, you’ll ensure customers receive their orders safely, on time, and with exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive safely and professionally, meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
• Deliver products to customers’ rooms of choice, handling goods carefully and efficiently.
• Build rapport with customers, providing a friendly and professional service at every delivery.
• Complete all paperwork and digital records accurately in line with company and legal requirements.
• Carry out daily vehicle and safety checks, reporting any issues immediately.
• Maintain full compliance with driver hours, working time regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

• Valid LGV Class C Licence (Category C).
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Maximum of 6 penalty points on licence.
• Strong customer service skills and professional presentation.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of a two-person team.
• Multi-drop and home delivery experience desirable.
