The starting salary for this position is £12.83 per hour plus 15% annual leave allowance. There is also an additional £2.50 allowance per hour when working unclothed.

Surrey Adult Learning is seeking reliable and professional unclothed Life Models to pose for adult art classes.

We are particularly looking for models to work at our Guildford centre on Thursdays (daytime and evening) and at the Woking centre on Wednesday evenings, for learners to draw, paint or sculpt from in their classes. Availability for consecutive weeks is desirable.

This is a zero hour (bank) contract, which means that we do not guarantee to offer you work on a regular basis. A typical life class can range from 2 hours to 5 hours. The hours worked would be during term time only, for up to 37 weeks per year.

Surrey Adult Learning has seven centres across North and Southwest Surrey, although life drawing is only delivered at the following centres:

  • Guildford Adult Learning Centre, Sydenham Road, Guildford, GU1 3RX
  • Woking Adult Learning Centre, Hoebrook Close, Westfield, Woking, GU22 9PE
  • Camberley Adult Learning Centre, France Hill Drive, Camberley, GU15 3QB
  • Molesey Adult Learning Centre, Ray Road, West Molesey, KT8 2LG

About the Role

Surrey Adult Learning is a leading provider of diverse daytime, evening and Saturday courses and learning opportunities for adults. We offer a wide range of qualification courses, including English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), maths and digital skills. Our courses also cater to individuals with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and parents/carers seeking to upskill to support their children. Additionally, we provide courses for personal development in various subjects such as arts and crafts, languages and exercise.

As a Life Model, you will work with experienced tutors and adult learners, posing for drawing, painting and sculpture sessions. In return, you will have the opportunity to support adult learners in developing their artistic skills while working in a respectful and welcoming environment.

Your Application

  • Can maintain poses for agreed periods of time.
  • Are punctual, dependable and able to follow instruction.
  • Have an interest in art, creativity and adult learning.
  • Are comfortable working in a professional educational environment.
  • Can travel independently to the Adult Learning centres.

Previous modelling experience is desirable but not essential. We are particularly interested in hearing from people of all ages, backgrounds, body types and abilities, as diversity enriches the learning experience for our students.
