A specialist recruitment agency is currently seeking an experienced Lift Repair Engineer to join a well-established and growing organisation covering sites across London and the M25. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer with a strong background in lift repairs and experience working within social housing environments.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of lift repair and maintenance works, ensuring all jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with current industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned lift repairs, shutdowns, and insurance defect rectification.
• Repair and replace lift door equipment.
• Complete re-rope configurations.
• Replace divertors, motors, and sheaves.
• Install auto diallers and GSM units.
• Upgrade car and shaft lighting systems.
• Complete digital job sheets accurately and on time.
• Support the development and training of apprentices.
• Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with residents and clients.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant lift engineering standards and procedures.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering.
• Asbestos Awareness Training.
• Previous experience within the lift industry.
• Experience working within Social Housing is essential.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good understanding of current British Standards relating to lifts
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
