Line Operative

Contract Personnel are recruiting for a well-established manufacturer of plastic packaging, supplying a range of industries and well-known brands. The company is recognised for its quality, service and innovation.

Working as part of a small team, you will help maintain high standards of product quality, cleanliness and safety while packing, labelling and recording products.

Duties include:

• Pack, label and inspect products to required standards.
• Complete accurate product records and documentation.
• Maintain quality, hygiene and health & safety standards.
• Follow operating procedures at all times.
• Respond to machine alarms and carry out colour changes.
• Complete machine and equipment clean-downs.
• Progress through grades and take on additional responsibilities.
• Assist with training once experienced.
• Full training provided.

Experience/skills required:

• Good numeracy and attention to detail.
• Reliable with excellent timekeeping.
• Accurate record keeping skills.
• Strong work ethic and team player.
• Willingness to learn and progress.
• Commitment to health & safety.

Shift pattern:

• 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• 3-shift rotating pattern, (06:00am to 14:00pm, 22:00pm to 06:00am and 14:00pm to 22:00pm (1/2-hour unpaid break per shift)
• Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required depending on the needs of the company.
