Pay: £30.00 per hour PAYE / £40.13 per hour Umbrella
Shift Uplift: 20% for Double Days / 30% for Night Shift

Double Day Shift (Alternating Weekly)
- Week 1 - Mornings: 6:00am - 1:10pm
- Week 2 - Afternoons: 1:30pm - 8:40pm
- 20% shift uplift applied
Night Shift
- Monday to Thursday: 8:45pm - 6:00am
- 30% shift allowance applied

Role Summary
The Lineside Engineer plays a critical role in supporting high‑performance production operations. Working directly on the shopfloor, this individual provides hands‑on technical expertise, rapid issue resolution, and continuous improvement leadership.
With an end‑to‑end view of daily operations, the Lineside Engineer ensures smooth production flow, resolves issues beyond operator and first‑line management capability, and drives improvements in efficiency, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Disruption Management
- Identifies, analyses, and supports resolution of technical issues on the shopfloor.
- Assesses and initiates Non‑Conformities (NCs) with accurate, detailed documentation.
- Drives NC follow‑up, containment, and corrective actions.
- Provides data and insights to support supply chain quality management.
- Creates and updates work documents to remove blockers and reduce lead‑time impact.
Technical Outputs
- Produces technical analysis and enhanced documentation for Assembly Anomalies and NCs.
- Generates Design Query Notes (DQNs) for process or equipment deviations.
- Creates rework work orders and manages outstanding work.
- Sources and provides technical information including drawings, references, parts, tooling, and documentation.
Continuous Improvement
- Identifies production issues and escalates to relevant support functions when required.
- Contributes to analysis of industrial systems and processes to improve efficiency.
- Supports Work Improvement Proposals (WIPs) and LEAN waste‑elimination activities.
- Participates in process validation and failure analysis.
- May act as NC Leader within the COM‑17 process.
Industrial Assets Support
- Initiates repair requests and small‑tool requirements.
- Contributes to specifications for new jigs, tools, and modifications to existing equipment.
- Supports calibration and improvement of industrial assets.
Outstanding Work Management
- Completes and manages outstanding work templates.
- Assesses outstanding work requests with the Multifunctional Team (MFT).
- Ensures proper return and closure of outstanding work documentation.
Work Order Management
- Flags blocked work orders for discussion in production control meetings.
- Supports prioritisation of serial and rework orders linked to NCs, concessions, or blocking points.
Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)
- Promotes EHS rules and ensures standards are applied on the shopfloor.
- Cascades EHS requirements to technicians and identifies near‑misses for resolution.
Quality
- Ensures production and quality standards are consistently applied at station level.
- Supports quality‑driven decision‑making and adherence to established processes.
Logistics
- Supports prioritisation and movement of materials related to rework activities.
- Ensures materials reach the correct execution stations efficiently and on time.
