Rhino Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected legal practice with multiple offices across South Wales. Our client has built an excellent reputation over 100 years’ for delivering expert legal advice alongside a genuinely personal approach to client care.
Due to an exciting and busy caseload, they are seeking an experienced Litigation & Family Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join their friendly and supportive team across their offices in Risca, Newbridge, Abertillery and Blackwood.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable firm where you'll manage a varied caseload while developing your career within a collaborative and professional environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a mixed caseload of litigation and family law matters from instruction through to conclusion
- Advising clients on a range of disputes, including contract issues, property disputes, debt recovery, and contentious probate
- Handling family law matters including divorce, financial remedy proceedings, and cohabitation agreements and disputes
- Drafting legal documentation including pleadings, witness statements, applications, and settlement agreements
- Representing clients at hearings where appropriate
- Liaising with counsel, experts, and third parties
- Negotiating settlements and supporting clients through mediation where required
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships while contributing to business development
- Managing correspondence and maintaining accurate case records
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- A qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with experience in litigation and family law
- An excellent communicator with strong written and verbal skills
- Able to work independently while recognising when to seek guidance
- Organised, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- Can displays flexibility to get involved with not so familiar caseloads
- A collaborative team player who enjoys working in a supportive environment
- Experienced with legal case management systems and familiar with HMRC and HMCTS portals
- A good character and displays exemplary temperament
