You will handle matters from initial instruction through to resolution, including preparing pleadings, witness statements and disclosure documentation, managing Court proceedings and liaising with Counsel where appropriate.
The position also has a strong commercial element. You will be expected to build and maintain client relationships, generate new instructions and referrals and work towards agreed billing targets.
You may also provide support and supervision to junior fee earners and paralegals where required.

  • Be capable of independently managing a litigation caseload
  • Have strong drafting and advocacy skills
  • Be commercially aware and comfortable working towards billing targets
  • Have excellent communication and client-management skills
Experience across additional areas of civil litigation, including contractual disputes, personal injury or employment-related civil claims, would be advantageous.
An existing client following or referral network would also be beneficial.
What's on Offer? For permanent employees:
  • Competitive salary, dependent on experience
  • Pension
  • Holiday entitlement
  • Professional development support
  • Genuine opportunities for career progression
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment
  • Central London office location
For consultants:
  • Competitive fee-sharing arrangement
  • Greater flexibility and autonomy
  • Access to an established firm's platform and wider client base
  • Cross-referral opportunities across multiple legal practice areas
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven Civil Litigation Solicitor looking to develop their practice within an established London law firm.
