Live In Care Worker

CityWorx

For this specific care package, female care workers are required due to the nature of the role and the provision of intimate and personal care. This requirement is based on protecting the client's privacy, dignity and personal wellbeing and is intended to apply only where the circumstances of the care package require it.

A full UK driving licence is highly desirable but not essential. Non-drivers will be considered where they otherwise meet the requirements of the individual care package.

We welcome applications from candidates who are already legally resident in the UK and have valid permission to work, including:

  • Candidates currently working in the UK under sponsorship, including SOC 6135 Care Workers and Home Carers, where applicable.
  • Candidates currently holding a Graduate / Post-Study Work visa with sufficient remaining permission to work.
  • Candidates holding other valid UK immigration permission which allows them to undertake this role.

Sponsorship may be available for eligible candidates already living and working in the UK, subject to the candidate and employer meeting all applicable Home Office requirements.

Candidates seeking future sponsorship under SOC 6135 should be aware that current Home Office rules require eligible workers switching from another immigration route to have legally worked for the sponsoring employer as a care worker or senior care worker for at least three months before a Certificate of Sponsorship can be assigned.

All applicants must be able to evidence their current right to work in the UK.

Right-to-work status will be verified before employment commences.

Applicants must:

  • Have previous experience working in a care environment.
  • Be willing and able to undertake live-in care.
  • Be comfortable providing personal care.
  • Have valid UK right to work.
  • Be able to provide appropriate right-to-work evidence.
  • Have a current DBS or be willing to undergo the required DBS check.
  • Demonstrate reliability, professionalism and excellent communication skills.
  • Be able to commit to the requirements of live-in care.
  • Be willing to complete all required training and induction.

Experience in dementia, Alzheimer's, complex care, spinal injury, neurological conditions or nurse-led care would be advantageous.

Successful candidates will receive a full induction and training programme appropriate to the individual care package.
