Are you an experienced Qualified Social Worker looking for your next locum opportunity? We are currently recruiting for a Locum Assessment & Intervention Social Worker to join a well-established Children's Services team in Oldham.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment, undertaking meaningful front line work while benefiting from a competitive hourly rate.


🔎 The Role

As an Assessment & Intervention Social Worker, you will:
  • Undertake assessments of children and families under statutory frameworks
  • Manage a varied caseload including Child Protection and Child in Need
  • Complete Section 17 and Section 47 investigations
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard children
  • Prepare clear, concise reports for court proceedings where required


✅ Requirements

To be considered, you must have:
  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • At least 3 years' permanent post-qualified experience as a Qualified Social Worker
  • Relevant experience within Assessment & Intervention / Front line Children's Services
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Strong knowledge of UK safeguarding legislation and frameworks
