Locum Democratic Services Officer

Greater Manchester Local Authority | Hybrid Working | 3–4 Days per Week | Maternity Cover (from August)

A Greater Manchester local authority is seeking a Locum Democratic Services Officer to provide maternity cover from August.

This is a part-time role (3–4 days per week) offering hybrid working and a focus on supporting Cabinet meetings, alongside broader Democratic Services duties as required.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting Cabinet meeting preparation and administration
• Agenda production and minute taking
• Providing wider Democratic Services support where needed
• Ensuring compliance with statutory and procedural requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience within Democratic Services and be able to support meetings confidently and efficiently within a busy local authority environment.

Start date: August (maternity cover)
Working pattern: 3–4 days per week
Location: Greater Manchester (hybrid)
