An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our modern, purpose-built dispensary as a Part-Time or Full time Dispenser. We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused individual to support the smooth running of our dispensary service and help deliver exceptional care to our patients.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dispenser looking to join a welcoming primary care environment. Candidates holding an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) are preferred; however, we would also consider applications from enthusiastic individuals interested in a trainee position.

About the Role

As a Dispenser, you will play a key role in ensuring prescriptions are processed accurately and efficiently while providing excellent support to patients and the wider clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing repeat prescription requests and resolving patient queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Dispensing prescriptions accurately and safely in accordance with practice procedures
  • Providing advice and support to patients regarding prescription requests
  • Maintaining dispensary stock levels, including ordering, monitoring and stock rotation
  • Supporting medicines optimisation and ensuring efficient medication management
  • Working closely with GPs, clinicians and practice colleagues to provide a seamless prescription service
  • Assisting with the analysis of prescribing data and producing accurate reports
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant dispensary procedures, policies and regulations
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of dispensary services

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Be organised, proactive and able to work effectively under pressure
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and confidentiality
  • Be able to work accurately with excellent attention to detail
  • Have experience within a dispensing or pharmacy environment (preferred)
  • Hold an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification (preferred)
  • Have experience using SystmOne (desirable, but not essential)
  • Be willing to learn and develop within the role
