Are you an experienced warehouse, inventory or logistics professional with a strong background in Lean and continuous improvement?

We’re looking for a proactive and commercially minded Logistics, Inventory & Flow Manager to lead warehouse operations, inventory control and end-to-end logistics within a manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you’ll take ownership of the function, lead and develop your team, improve operational performance and ensure materials and products flow efficiently through the business.

This is a senior management opportunity for someone who can combine strong leadership with a hands-on approach to problem-solving, Lean principles and operational excellence.

The role

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading warehouse, goods-in, stores, inventory and logistics operations.
  • Managing and developing Team Leaders and operational teams.
  • Maintaining stock accuracy, traceability and effective inventory controls.
  • Overseeing finished-goods readiness, packing, despatch and delivery performance.
  • Managing carrier relationships, shipment planning and logistics costs.
  • Driving Lean initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste and optimise material flow.
  • Implementing continuous improvement activities using Lean tools and techniques.
  • Monitoring KPIs, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
  • Improving warehouse layout, stock locations, workflows and inventory systems.
  • Working closely with Production, Planning, Quality and Purchasing to resolve issues and prevent delays.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety, quality and operational standards.
  • Planning resources and capacity to meet business demands.

About you

You’ll have proven experience managing warehouse, inventory or logistics operations, ideally within a manufacturing environment, alongside a strong understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement.

You’ll also bring:

  • Proven people-management and leadership experience.
  • Experience implementing Lean methodologies and driving measurable improvements.
  • Knowledge of techniques such as 5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis and waste reduction.
  • Strong understanding of stock control, inventory accuracy and warehouse processes.
  • Experience with ERP, MRP or warehouse management systems.
  • A track record of improving processes, productivity and operational performance.
  • Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage priorities, resources and performance.
  • A proactive and structured approach to safety, quality and compliance.

Experience in carrier management, freight planning, traceability and operational performance improvement would be advantageous.

Salary and benefits

  • £43,000–£53,000 salary, depending on experience.
  • Profit share and operational bonus scheme.
  • 25 days’ annual holiday, plus bank holidays.
  • Employer pension contribution scheme.
  • Progression and development opportunities.
  • Yearly appraisal programme.

Why apply?

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a key operational function, develop a team and make a tangible impact on business performance.

You’ll have the opportunity to implement Lean improvements, streamline processes, reduce operational waste and build a more efficient, reliable and customer-focused logistics operation.

If you’re ready for a new challenge where you can combine leadership, logistics expertise and continuous improvement, we’d love to hear from you.
