At A F Blakemore & Son Ltd, we’re looking for an ambitious Logsitics and Supply Chain Manager to optimising our End to End activities, increasing our incomes in relation to backhaul, consolidation and centralisation.
 
You will lead the team who are responsible for the day to day activities along with identify opportunities, liaising with other stakeholders and suppliers and negotiating shared benefit.   These activities are for the AFB Group and not just focused on the main Logistics sites.  

Key Responsibilities
  • To adopt and oversee process management in areas of responsibility 
  • To increase income activity YOY by engaging with suppliers while ensuring new and existing agreements are profitable
  • Review route to market for suppliers and remove cost by implementing backhaul, primary or centralised solutions. 
  • Period accounting for income charges, ensuring all suppliers are charged correctly and on time
  • Support the End to End initiative being the primary contact between Incept and AFB
  • To support and lead Group projects internally and externally providing business benefit 
  • Produce, summarise and recommend actions in relation to key logistical reports for presentation / evaluation to the Head of Supply Chain
  • To use key programs throughout the system as available but specifically focusing on the NVM model E2E model
  • To work alongside colleagues in procurement and trading to align goals and targets
  • To consider and reduce AFB’s environmental impacts by designing and delivering are more effective Supply Chain.

Person Specification
Essential
  • Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insight into action.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience and proven track record in supplier negotiations and collaboration
  • Experience delivering cost and service improvements in complex operational environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate insight into action
