Are you an ambitious logistics professional with a strong grasp of international trade? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same?

We are partnering with a highly successful, leading global trading and distribution business within the food sector. As they continue to expand their international footprint, they are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Logistics Associate to join their fast-paced Supply Chain & Logistics team.

This is a comprehensive, end-to-end operational role where you will play a pivotal part in managing complex global movements, including imports, exports, and cross-trades outside of Europe.

The Role

As a Logistics Associate, you will take full ownership of international shipment operations from start to finish. You will be the vital link between warehouses, freight forwarders, and customers to ensure seamless delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and process import, export, and cross-trade shipping operations, ensuring flawless execution from initial booking to final delivery.
  • Manage all shipping documentation, issue precise customs clearance instructions (UK & EU), and handle essential export paperwork (such as Certificates of Analysis, Certificates of Origin, and Health Certificates).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines (sea and air), and warehouses to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries.
  • Ensure strict compliance with global import regulations, food industry standards, and Port Health requirements while maintaining accurate digital transaction files.
  • Manage supplier and warehouse invoices, handle any non-conformances efficiently, and conduct occasional on-site warehouse inspections.

What You Bring

To succeed in this resilient, fast-moving team, you should be a self-starter who adapts quickly to changing priorities and loves solving logistical puzzles.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar logistics or international trade role, ideally gained within a trading company or the food/FMCG industry.
  • Solid understanding of Incoterms, international shipping modes (Sea & Air), and cross-trade operations.
  • Familiarity with export requirements for diverse global markets (such as the Middle East, Africa, and South America).
  • Strong knowledge of EU/UK customs clearance procedures and Port Health regulations. (Knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations is an advantage).
  • Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of a second European language—particularly Spanish—is highly desirable.
