Location: Stoke-On-Trent
Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday, flexible working hours - 8:00am/8:30am -4:00pm/4:30pm
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join a busy and established operation based in Stoke-on-Trent
The role provides administrative and operational support across logistics, supply chain and customer service, ensuring customer orders are processed accurately, transport is arranged efficiently and communication between customers, suppliers and internal teams is maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Order Processing & Customer Service
- Accurately input and process customer orders using internal systems
- Ensure orders are processed within agreed timescales
- Liaise with customers regarding order status, deliveries and queries
- Support the management of key customer accounts, including EDI accounts
- Assist with resolving customer service issues and delivery queries
- Communicate effectively with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Technical, Finance and Sales teams
Logistics & Transport Coordination
- Arrange deliveries and collections with suppliers and external transport providers
- Coordinate bookings with external cold storage providers
- Arrange transport bookings with approved hauliers
- Monitor daily transport schedules and ensure all relevant documentation is completed
- Support drivers and customers with delivery and transport-related queries
- Assist with resolving delivery delays, shortages and collection issues
- Maintain accurate records of supplier delivery schedules and stock movements
Warehouse & Distribution Support
- Produce and maintain accurate loading manifests for Goods In and Dispatch teams
- Ensure all relevant paperwork and documentation is completed accurately
- Support the smooth movement of goods between suppliers, warehouse and customers
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements and delivery information
Reporting & Administration
- Produce regular reports and KPI information for senior management
- Maintain accurate databases, records and documentation
- Handle and manipulate large volumes of data accurately
- Use Microsoft Excel to produce reports and analyse information
- Support the wider logistics and supply chain team with general administration
About You
- Previous administration experience within a manufacturing, logistics, supply chain or distribution environment
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Experience manipulating large volumes of data
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
- The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively to deadlines
- A proactive and professional approach
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team
