PSM Recruitment are excited to be recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to join a leading time-critical logistics specialist based in Dover.

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and managing time-critical logistics solutions throughout Europe and worldwide, working within strict timeframe's and ensuring schedules and deadlines are met. The role will focus on air freight, air charter and on-board courier solutions, providing bespoke transport solutions to meet individual client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage time-critical international logistics solutions
  • Provide bespoke transport solutions to meet client requirements
  • Liaise with international air freight agents, airlines and brokers to source effective transport solutions and agree costs
  • Create AWB documentation and cargo manifests
  • Arrange VAT and duty collection where required
  • Ensure compliance with customs formalities and AEO standards
  • Provide pre-alerts to customs agents and clients, including supervision of T1 creation and document closure
  • Understand and apply shipping Incoterms
  • Calculate air freight rates and chargeable weight conversions
  • Monitor shipments throughout the transport process, ensuring schedules and agreed milestones are met
  • Keep clients informed of shipment progress and provide updates where required
  • Identify and escalate transport delays or issues to the Team Leader
  • Understand the risks associated with individual shipments and take appropriate steps to mitigate them
  • Support air charter, air freight and on-board courier solutions
  • Ensure non-conformances are recorded and escalated in line with ISO 9001 procedures
  • Accurately monitor and update the company's transport management system
  • Handle incoming calls professionally and respond promptly to enquiries

Candidate Requirements :

  • Experience within air logistics / air freight is desirable not essential
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work accurately and effectively within strict timeframes
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple time-critical shipments
  • Good understanding of international transport and customs procedures
  • Confident working within a fast-paced logistics environment

Day Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, 9-hour rotational shifts between 7am - 7pm
