SALARY: £40,000 per annum + Benefits

LOCATION: Bradford, West Yorkshire, Yorkshire and the Humber

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

JOB OVERVIEW

This is an excellent opportunity for a Logistics Manager to take ownership of transport logistics strategy, operational planning and service performance with Bespoke Stairlifts Ltd.

The Logistics Manager will oversee safe, efficient, compliant and cost-effective movement of goods, materials and services while supporting customer service standards and business growth.

As the Logistics Manager, you will lead a logistics team, manage supplier and carrier relationships, monitor KPIs, oversee customs and regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across transport and distribution operations.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Logistics Manager include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and deliver the transport logistics strategy in line with organisational objectives, operational growth and service excellence

  • Operational Planning: Lead planning across transport logistics activities, ensuring efficient freight collections, shipment performance and operational continuity

  • Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with customs legislation, international shipping requirements and relevant regulatory standards

  • Budget Control: Prepare and manage departmental budgets, control operating costs and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality

  • Supplier Management: Manage supplier contract activity and maintain effective relationships with freight forwarders, carriers and third-party logistics providers

  • People Leadership: Lead, motivate and develop the transport logistics team, promoting a high-performance, customer-focused culture

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and represent Bespoke Stairlifts Ltd at senior operational meetings

  • Performance Reporting: Establish and monitor KPIs, performance dashboards, shipment documentation, management reports and operational reviews

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for innovation, automation, sustainability improvements and data-led process enhancements

  • Corrective Action: Implement corrective actions where carrier performance falls below agreed service targets

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Management or a related discipline

  • Extensive experience in logistics management, including strong leadership experience

  • Experience using logistics software, ERP systems and EDI portals

  • Knowledge and experience of current international shipping and customs regulatory requirements

  • Strong track record of delivering logistics financial performance improvements

  • Strategic leadership and planning skills

  • Commercial awareness with strong financial and budget management capability

  • Stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

  • Change management and continuous improvement experience

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Project management skills

  • Results-oriented approach with strong decision-making ability
