Logistics Manager – Data Centre Construction

We're recruiting for an experienced Logistics Manager to join one of Europe's leading data centre contractors on a major hyperscale data centre project in Blyth, England.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of all site logistics activities on a flagship mission-critical project, ensuring the safe and efficient coordination of deliveries, materials, storage, site access, and traffic management throughout the construction programme.
 

As Logistics Manager, you'll work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and the wider construction team to ensure materials, equipment, and resources are delivered safely, on time, and in line with project requirements.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all site logistics operations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and implement site logistics plans and delivery strategies.
• Coordinate deliveries, material handling, storage, and site movements.
• Manage site access, traffic management, and security procedures.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain programme delivery.
• Oversee logistics subcontractors and monitor performance.
• Ensure all logistics documentation, permits, and safety records are maintained.
• Attend site coordination, planning, and logistics meetings.
• Identify and resolve logistics issues, delays, and site constraints.
• Promote a safe, organised, and efficient working environment across the project.


Requirements

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline (preferred).
• 5-7 years' experience managing site logistics on major construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction logistics, material handling, traffic management, and site coordination.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements within construction.
• Previous experience on Data Centre, Mission Critical, Industrial, Infrastructure, or Large Construction projects is highly desirable.
