The Opportunity
We're recruiting for an experienced Logistics Manager to join a leading data centre construction project team in Blyth. This is a site-based role focused on driving safe, efficient, programme-aligned logistics on a major build.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all site logistics activities across the project lifecycle
- Create and implement site logistics plans aligned to programme and site constraints
- Coordinate deliveries, offloading, material handling, storage, and distribution
- Manage site access, traffic management, and security in line with H&S requirements
- Liaise with Project/Package Managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain flow to workfaces
- Oversee logistics subcontractors (performance, coordination, reporting)
- Maintain logistics documentation, permits, and safety records
- Identify and mitigate logistical risks (congestion, delays, interfaces, restricted access)
What We're Looking For (Non‑Negotiable)
- Full right to work in the UK - no visa sponsorship available
- Proven experience working for a Main Contractor on large construction projects
- Strong background delivering site logistics (traffic management, materials handling, coordination)
Ideal Background
- 5-7+ years in a logistics role within construction/engineering
- Data centre / mission-critical / industrial build exposure (highly beneficial)
- Strong planning, stakeholder management, and site coordination skills
- Solid understanding of health & safety as it relates to logistics operations
