Logistics Operative

Nelson Recruitment Services are actively looking for two experienced Logistics Operatives to join one of our clients in the West Bromwich area. They are seeking reliable, safety-conscious individuals who have a valid Reach Truck Licence or M1/M3 Combi Licence and are confident working in a fast-paced logistics or warehouse environment.

Candidate MUST HAVE Reach or M1/M3 Combi FLT Licence

Position: Logistics Operative

Hours: 39 hours per week

Shift Pattern:

• Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 3:00pm

Hourly Rate:

£13.00 – £14.00 per hour

West Bromwich, B70 9PL

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a Reach Truck or M1/M3 Combi truck.
• Load and unload deliveries and ensure goods are stored correctly.
• Move materials and products safely around the warehouse and site.
• Pick, prepare and organise materials for production and dispatch.
• Complete relevant paperwork and stock control documentation accurately.
• Carry out stock checks and report any discrepancies.
• Ensure all goods are handled with care to prevent damage.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised working environment.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures at all times.
• Work closely with colleagues across logistics, warehouse and production teams.
• Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the Logistics/Operations team.

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Hold a valid Reach Truck Licence OR M1/M3 Combi Licence.
• Have previous experience working in a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment.
• Be comfortable working in a physically active role.
• Have a strong focus on health and safety.
• Be reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Have good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures.
• Be willing to support colleagues and contribute to achieving team targets.
• Have a positive, can-do attitude.
