Logistics Supervisor

Overview 

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join a busy construction site, overseeing the day-to-day logistics operation and managing a team of approximately 15 operatives, including labourers.

The Role

You will be responsible for coordinating site logistics, ensuring materials, deliveries and operatives are managed efficiently and safely. You will work closely with the Site Management team to maintain a well-organised and productive site.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate a team of around 15 operatives, including labourers.
• Manage daily site logistics and general site movements.
• Coordinate deliveries, unloading and storage of materials.
• Manage traffic and pedestrian movements around site.
• Allocate daily tasks and monitor operative performance.
• Ensure materials and equipment are available when required.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the site.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and site management.
• Assist with site set-up, deliveries and general logistics requirements.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
• Attend daily briefings and toolbox talks where required.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Logistics Supervisor or similar construction logistics role.
• Experience supervising a team of operatives/labourers.
• Strong knowledge of construction site logistics.
• Telehandler ticket – CPCS or NPORS preferred/required.
• CSCS card.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• Reliable, organised and confident managing a team.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.

Rate: £24 per hour
