Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Logistics Support Manager to manage the service and ensure targets are met and exceeded across all performance areas. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day liaison of the service with the client while supporting the effective delivery of operational objectives.
This role requires a professional and organised individual who can provide strong leadership, maintain high service standards, and build positive relationships with stakeholders. The Logistics Support Manager will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with company and Trust policies and procedures while supporting the performance, wellbeing and development of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direction, guidance and support to staff to ensure they can carry out their roles effectively.
- Maintain accurate records and complete documentation relating to sickness, quality monitoring, training and staff performance.
- Monitor attendance, manage sickness and absenteeism, and ensure HR processes are followed.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, patients, visitors and Trust staff.
- Plan, allocate and evaluate workloads while managing annual leave requests and ensuring target hours are achieved.
- Manage service objectives, targets, budgets and forecasts, and support performance monitoring and reporting requirements.
- Support payroll processes by ensuring agreed onsite procedures are followed and operational delivery is maintained.
- Recruit, induct, train and manage staff, ensuring compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements and service standards.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in a management or supervisory role.
- Ability to lead, motivate and support a team effectively.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing demands.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Good IT skills and confidence using systems for operational management, reporting and administration.
- Ability to react quickly to challenging situations, use initiative and remain calm under pressure.
