Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (SEN)
Responsible to: SENCO
Purpose of the Role
To support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in accessing learning, developing independence, and achieving their full potential in a safe and inclusive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN.
- Assist teachers in delivering inclusive learning.
- Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Help implement individual learning and support plans.
- Promote safeguarding, inclusion, and positive behaviour.
Person Specification
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (desirable).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Patient, caring, and reliable.
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
