As part of their continued investment in asset performance, maintenance excellence and long-term infrastructure planning, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Asset Manager to join their Engineering team.

Your new role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical & Electrical Asset Manager will be responsible for the strategic management of the organisation's M&E asset portfolio, ensuring assets deliver optimum performance throughout their lifecycle while balancing cost, risk and operational requirements. This is a key leadership role responsible for developing and implementing asset management strategies, overseeing maintenance and capital investment plans, managing budgets and contracts, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

Developing and implementing M&E asset lifecycle strategies to maximise asset value and performance. Managing maintenance, renewal and capital investment programmes across a diverse asset base. Establishing robust budgeting, forecasting and financial control processes. Leading procurement activities, contract management and supplier performance reviews. Acting as the principal M&E advisor to internal stakeholders. Ensuring full compliance with health & safety. Driving continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a positive, safety-first culture.Supporting the delivery of engineering projects from concept through to completion.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated engineering professional with strong asset management experience and proven leadership capability.
Essential Criteria:

Minimum Level 6 qualification, i.e. degree, in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent).

Minimum of 5 years' experience managing engineering assets within a complex operational environment.

Experience delivering asset management activities across a large estate or infrastructure portfolio.

Demonstrable experience managing maintenance contracts, contractors and consultants.

Experience managing budgets, forecasting expenditure and delivering cost-effective asset solutions.

Experience delivering engineering projects from inception through to completion.

Strong understanding and application of UK Health & Safety legislation.

Working knowledge of building regulations, compliance standards and asset management principles.

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
