M&E BIM Lead
Location: Hybrid (2 days from home / 3 days on site)
Rate: £500-£600 per day
Contract: Outside IR35
Duration: Long-term contract
We are looking for an experienced Lead M&E BIM Lead to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects, taking responsibility for BIM delivery, digital engineering and information management across the full project lifecycle.
This role requires someone who has previously led BIM teams on large, multidisciplinary projects and is confident managing both the technical and operational aspects of BIM delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Mechanical & Electrical BIM function across multiple project workstreams.
- Ensure BIM deliverables comply with project requirements, ISO 19650 and client information standards.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models across MEP, Structural, Civil and Architectural disciplines.
- Lead clash detection and model coordination using federated models.
- Manage model quality, Level of Information Need (LOIN) and project deliverables.
- Oversee the ProjectWise environment, including document workflows, approvals and Common Data Environment governance.
- Manage metadata standards, information classification and digital asset information.
- Support engineering, design management and document control teams throughout project delivery.
- Mentor BIM Coordinators and Technicians whilst driving continuous improvement across BIM processes.
Essential Experience
- 8+ years' BIM experience within engineering or construction.
- Previous experience leading BIM teams.
- Strong Mechanical & Electrical BIM background.
- Extensive ProjectWise administration experience.
- Advanced understanding of metadata management and information governance.
- Experience working within ISO 19650.
- Revit MEP.
- Navisworks Manage.
- AutoCAD.
- Experience managing Common Data Environments (CDE).

This is a long-term Outside IR35 contract offering the opportunity to work on complex engineering programmes with a well-established delivery team. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and be able to attend site three days per week.
