Salter Grange is recruiting on behalf of a well-established Mechanical & Electrical Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality building services projects across London and the South East.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, our client is looking to appoint an experienced M&E Contracts Managerto oversee the successful delivery of multiple M&E projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.

Based from the company's head office in Gerrards Cross, this role offers a balance of office-based management and regular visits to live project sites across London.

Reporting to the Director, you will take full responsibility for the operational delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with Project Managers, Commercial teams, Design Managers and clients, you will play a key role in maintaining strong relationships while driving programme performance and operational excellence.

M&E Contracts Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the successful delivery of multiple mechanical and electrical projects from award through to completion.
  • Lead and support Project Managers, Site Managers and project delivery teams.
  • Monitor programme performance, project budgets and commercial objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate design, procurement and construction activities to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Identify and manage project risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered in line with health & safety legislation, quality standards and company procedures.
  • Attend client meetings, progress reviews and internal planning meetings.
  • Support project teams through commissioning, testing and final handover.

M&E Contracts Manager Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the M&E or Building Services sector.
  • Strong track record delivering multiple construction projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and client management skills.
  • Good commercial awareness with experience working alongside Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.
  • Experience working with JCT and/or NEC contracts.
  • SMSTS and CSCS Black Card preferred.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
