Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking an experienced M&E Project Manager to manage the planning, execution and on-site delivery of projects within a government contract, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, health and safety standards and client expectations.

Job Overview

This role combines strategic project management with hands-on site leadership to deliver mechanical and electrical projects efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales, budgets and quality standards.

Acting as the link between office-based planning and field-based execution, the M&E Project Manager will coordinate multiple stakeholders and support seamless project delivery. The role is based in London five days per week and involves working on Grade I listed buildings where listed building consent and heritage consultancy requirements may apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from planning through to on-site delivery, ensuring completion on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules and programmes throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate internal teams, contractors, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
  • Ensure project delivery complies with the CCS Government framework, public sector governance requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Support procurement and tendering activities, including the preparation of tender documentation and management of tender processes.
  • Oversee site operations and health and safety compliance, ensuring appropriate standards are maintained.
  • Monitor project performance against KPIs and SLAs, providing forecasts, reports and project updates.
  • Manage project risks, change control processes, variations and project documentation, maintaining accurate records across systems including Tririga, Coupa, Monday. com and SharePoint.

Person Specification

  • Strong construction project management experience.
  • Proven experience delivering complex M&E projects.
  • Good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and projects.
  • Experience managing the full project lifecycle from planning through to delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong budget management and programme delivery skills.
  • Excellent client and stakeholder management experience.
  • Working knowledge of CDM Regulations and a strong understanding of health and safety within a construction or project environment.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to obtain SC clearance.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Strong personal drive, accountability and willingness to take ownership.
  • Experience working on projects involving Grade I listed buildings, including coordination of listed building consent and heritage consultancy requirements.
