Machine Manufacturing Operative – Norwich
£13.00 per hour | Monday–Friday | Early Finish on Fridays

Select Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client in Norwich for a Machine Manufacturing Operative to join their growing manufacturing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with assembly or manufacturing experience who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in producing high-quality products. You'll be responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment while working to production schedules and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and test mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical products.
• Follow engineering drawings, build instructions, and production procedures accurately.
• Complete sub-assembly and spares work orders within agreed timescales.
• Work to daily production targets while maintaining high quality standards.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to resolve issues and support process improvements.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Provide support to other departments when required.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Confident using hand tools and assembly equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Good problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Hours & Pay

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 2:00pm
• Pay: £13.00 per hour
