We're recruiting for a Machine Operator - Setter to join a well-established manufacturer based in Keighley.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically minded, hands-on and keen to develop their skills. You don't need to have years of manufacturing experience — a strong mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn and ability to understand how machinery works could be just as valuable.
As a Machine Operator - Setter, you'll be responsible for setting and operating machinery, working from production drawings and specifications, and carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet the required standards.
What you'll be doing:
- Setting and operating machinery using the correct tooling
- Reading production drawings and works orders
- Carrying out quality inspections and accurate weighing
- Identifying materials and ensuring products meet specifications
- Supporting tooling control and fault finding
- Working closely with Technical and Quality teams
- Working safely and maintaining high standards of quality
- Mechanically minded and confident working with machinery
- A good problem solver with strong attention to detail
- Reliable, adaptable and willing to learn
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Able to read and understand production drawings
- Quality-focused with a strong work ethic
Hours & benefits:
- £13.84 per hour to start
- 10-20% shift allowance depending on shift
- 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday
- Rotating shift patterns, including early shifts
- Example shifts: 4:15am-1:30pm and 7:00am-4:15pm
- Shift patterns may change depending on business requirements
