Machine Operator in Amblecote, Dudley

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Machine Shop Operative to support our machine shop operations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with Landis threading machines and be confident operating a range of other machine shop equipment.

Experience setting Landis threading machines would be a distinct advantage, although candidates with strong operating experience will also be considered.

This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, a commitment to quality and a strong awareness of health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Landis threading machines safely and efficiently.
• Set Landis threading machines when required, if suitably experienced.
• Operate other machine shop equipment, including drilling machines and saws.
• Assist with general machine shop duties to support daily production requirements.
• Inspect finished components to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
• Pack finished products ready for storage or dispatch.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Follow all company procedures and health and safety guidelines.
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working with Landis threading machines.
• Experience operating machinery within a machine shop environment.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
• A strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• A reliable, hardworking and flexible approach.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.00-17.00 with an early finish on a Friday.

This is a temporary to permanent position for the right candidate.
